this game is a classic but its one of the hardest games on the NES this game is amazing, it has a great soundtrack, good graphics for its time. other than its difficulty (which i will get to in a minute) this is an amazing game that every gamer should experience. but if you aren't to good at video games you shouldn't play the game to much because its EXTREMELY HARD. it gets harder each time you advance like every game but its harder than it should be for a few bad reasons. 1. when you get hit you jump back uncontrollably, and there's always something like fire, water, E.T.C that will kill you. 2. in super Mario bros. you can control your jump, but in Castlevania you have to go straight. this isn't to bad, but this means you have to time your jumps and that can take a while to do. there are many sub weapons which you can use by pressing the attack button and up at the same time. some of these weapons include: holy water. axes, and you can power up your whip too!. you can make it longer, you can make it on fire and every time this happens Simon changes colors! (Simon is the person you control). all of this adds to the games awesomeness, on top of that you have amazing artwork, a great soundtrack, and its really addictive if you like it. in conclusion this game is amazing. (but beware its hard)
