Banjo-Kazooie - Grunty\'s Revenge 05-01-12 07:35 PM |
Another Great Banjo-Kazooie Game! Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge is sort of different from other Banjo-Kazooie Games. Sure, you're still running, jumping and learning new moves, but in an overhead view. Still, the game manages to be perhaps one of the best GBA titles out there. STORY-7 Grunty kidnaps Kazooie, and goes back to the past to stop Banjo & Kazooie from meeting. Mumbo Jumbo sends Banjo back in time to save Kazooie and defeat Grunty (Now in a robot suit). But, you you rescue Kazooie in world 2, so that means you still get to peck enemies. They could have made more with this plot, like seeing Banjo when he was younger, but still, does the story really matter? GRAPHICS-9 The graphics are outstanding for a Game Boy Advance game, and animations are smooth. But effects are reused in some places, like the smoke effect. SOUND-Wow. Just wow. Outstanding! The level tunes are catchy and pleasant to hear! Sound effects are great too, but for those who are easily annoyed, mute the sound effects in the options. (Guh-Huh! Hup! Blahh! Bree! Eeekum Bokum!) ADDICTIVENESS-10- So fun to play! The controls are great and the worlds are fun to explore! The mini games (sometimes) are addicting too! Not to mention there are 60 jiggies and 600 notes. DEPTH-8 The main game may be short, but hey, there are 600 notes, 60 jiggies and 30 jinjos! There is also an arcade machine where you can play minigames by using coins earned in the credits! DIFFICULTY-8 Some challenges are easy, some are hard. I hated that one in Spiller's Harbor (Too Many Switches!!!). Some minigames are hard, like Mr Ripoffoski's (I Think) minigames. OVERALL-10 A fantastic game that's worth the 26 viz! I would recommened this game to Banjo fans and people who like platformers. |
Banjo Pilot 04-27-12 08:14 PM |
Banjo In A Plane. GENIUS!! Banjo-Pilot was originally Diddy Kong Pilot, and was released in 2005. The game may now seem outdated, but this was great for a GBA. But How does it compare to Mario Kart and Diddy Kong Racing? STORY-N/A There's no story. It's a racing game, anyway. GRAPHICS-9 Characters, objects and backgrounds look great, but items don't appear until you're close to them. SOUND-8 Many well-composed, Banjo-style themes, but some aren't very fitting for the tracks they're used on.(Spiral Mountain, For example) ADDICTIVENESS-10 Very addicting. The game has a lot of tracks, and you'll probably be playing them over and over! DEPTH-9 Many game modes and unlockables make this game a very big game. DIFFICULTY-7 Most tracks are easy and simple, but Jiggy challenges are challenging. At least without Glowbos. OVERALL-9.2 A great racer packed with lots of game modes, but the tracks are too simple. I would recommened for Banjo fans or racing game fans. |
