Review: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
This game is the first game I have ever played. I was about four or five, at my grandmother’s house and three games come to the top of my head that she showed me: Doom, Donkey Kong, and Zelda. She showed me how to turn it on and let me decide whatever I wanted to play, so due to the compelling long title, it seemed interesting at the time. As I sat down in front of the television, the main menu song was absolutely enchanting. A smile covered my face as I tried reading what it said, barely being able to. Talking to whichever NPC’s I could, I would, then I continued aimlessly making surprisingly effective progress.

That shows the accessibility of the game. If I can make it to the Dark World barely knowing what their saying proves this is not a very difficult game at all. But, the dungeon bosses and enemies are what make it a seven. It’s not to say they are unfair; rather they are immaculately designed, especially around their environments making them smarter than a common artificial intelligence enemy of today’s games. One dungeon boss that I will never forget because of how flawless it was, is the centipede in the desert area to the east (I believe...). I should clarify I had not beaten the game till my current age (fifteen) through the usage of this site. Through the past decade of gaming, I finally have managed to complete it and it was not very easy, but at the same time, it’s not very difficult at all.

Something I can note now, that I would not have been able to note in the past, is how great the character animation is. When you see Link struggling after fighting off those enemies that shoot rocks at you in the desert, you are immersed in the pain Link feels which is incredible for the age of the game, showing it’s time...
