Pokemon Red

A flawed game, but a classic
Ahhhh Pokemon red, a classic among Pokemon games. Looking at it now, lets face it... it sucks, ignoring the nostalgia factor and the fact it was the first american Pokemon game, It's an ok at best game.

Graphics-9/10:One of the first Gameboy Games with color so that already makes it high, not to mention some of the sprites looked good like slowpoke and the bulbasaur family, but some looked horrible like Koffing and Sandshrew.

Sound-6/10: For it's time it was OK, some of the tracks were poor (like Pokemon mansion) and others were good (like the battle theme for instance).

Addictiveness-7/10: I can't really describe this category, just think of any other RPG, your hooked until the end

Story-5/10 Your finally turning 10, and you get your Pokemon license to become a trainer, and your goal is to become the Pokemon master, not much else though so it's a bit shallow.

Depth-3/10: Ehh I can't rate this higher, with 151 Pokemon, and the only rematch-able trainers being the elite 4, there's not much to do.

Dificulty-6/10:not too easy but between the rare candy glitch, and wild pokemon you can easily get to the 50s before the 4th gym... although the broken critical hit system and the partial trapping mechanics

Overall-6.4/10:It's not an awful game, but it's not good, between all the glitches, broken aspects of the game, and the over all poor depth keeps it from getting any higher.

Feel free to criticize my review as long as it's constructive, also feel free to disagree with my opinion.
