I disagree, and not just cause mudkip is cute, but swampert rocks. Being ground type as well means it's impervious to electric attacks

Very Impressed
As a pretty devout fan of the original Pokémon series and the first generation Pokémon. I was really happy with the turnout of this game. Graphically, much better than the old school RBY, GSC. I love the look of this particular generation of games.
For sounds, the music got a bit annoying to me, mainly because I speed through a lot of things, as to not waste time.
When it comes to how addicting it is, the speediness is really great. It's much easier to train your Pokémon up when you can skip most of the battle cut-scenes, and extremely slow text. It's also intriguing to see what's next when it comes to the mix between the game and the series. The Spearow in the storm, stealing Misty's bike, Brock's deadbeat dad selling rocks, how you get each of the starters, Bill's obsession with Dragonite...the list just goes on! I love all of those connections, but it still lacked a little bit, especially that you don't have to battle to get Bulbasaur and Squirtle...I mean, they could've at least given him some sweet shades or something.
I did find some difficulty with finding certain necessary items, such as the cut HM, I spent about a half hour running around talking to people before I realized where it was...which I won't tell you, because I want to see how long it takes everyone.
