The Lost Vikings - SNES Review
The Lost Vikings - SNES Review (This is my first review, bear with me here) I came across this game by browsing the plat forming sectionhere in RGR and am glad I did! The Lost Vikings has a simple concept of generalplat forming, but adds puzzle game aspects in to the mix(great combination)! Making the game more unique and confusing at timesthen you might think actually.Graphics: 7To start off, we'll talk about the graphics. The art styleis pretty similar to most other SNES games but, thecolor palette seems a bit darker, similar tosome Genesis games almost at times. As you progress the area aroundyou does change which is nice but, they stay the same for a couple of levelssometimes. In some levels doing a certain action can cause the whole level tochange to a whole different theme! In general the environments are usuallyreally detailed and the same goes for the characters and enemies along the way.Not the best the system offers, but still nice to look at while playing.Sound: 6Onto our second category, sound! Similar to our last category, not the best musicon the SNES but still nice to listen to in general. Most of the songs arerepeated a lot over the course of the game, even if a new song does play, itre-uses most of the audio and instruments from the other tracks in the game. Iunderstand sometimes lots of music in a game can take up lots of cartridgespace but I know they could have had at least a couple extra tunes included. Itcould be better, but it’s still ok as is.Addictiveness: 7Ifyou didn’t know already, you can switch between 3 players in this game. Eachwith a different ability and features which allows for multiple paths tocomplete one level. This allows playerto come back, and play the game a second time using characters and the items availablein different ways then the first time. This offers a pretty high level ofaddictiveness and I know I would play the game more than once! But, howaddictive it is to you really depends on if you like puzz... Read the rest of this Review
