Dragon Ball GT - Transformation 06-24-13 06:19 PM |
Better Than the Show Dragon Ball GT:Transformation was probably not met with high expectations due to the show's rather lackluster performance as compared to Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball. The difference is the game proved to be superior to the show for several reasons. For fans of the series who dreaded GT as the cornerstone of failure, they will find this game to be a healthy alternative than watching those soul-crushing moments in GT that had no place there and were just outright terrible. The game does sport a great soundtrack for fans of music that loved the original tracks from Z, though there aren't any tracks on the game that stand out as being from the show. For those who aren't fans, the game offers some fun but will in the end send you home pretty quickly. Graphics-6/10 The graphics are pretty decent for a Game Boy Advance game, though they aren't anything to write home about. Some of the designs for levels and the enemies were really well done, however, and though most enemies are palette swaps of previous ones, the game has a diverse cast of enemies to fight and the places fought are very unique and memorable in their own way. The bosses in particular are pretty well-designed, and the graphics that affect them are rather quite amazing. Some of the bosses have been designed quite well, and are literally just awe-inspiring when compared to the other graphics. In particular, the giant fat tiger comes to mind, as it was hilariously adorable, yet hideously monstrous at the same time. Though the game has relatively okay graphics, it cannot compare to some of the more beautifully crafted gems like Final Fantasy VI, or even some of the amazingly well done hacks on the site, which prove that the GBA was far more capable than originally believed. Despite this, there are no major graphical glitches, and the bosses that were brought from the show are quite alike to their anime counterparts, and some look just downright amazing. Even people who haven't seen the show wil... Read the rest of this Review |
Chrono Trigger 07-27-12 08:23 PM |
Chrono Trigger: Long Time Classic Chrono Trigger is the very first RPG I'd ever come across when I first got the Super Nintendo. Long after the machine broke, I still have the same Chrono Trigger cartridge. Graphics-9 The graphics were simply amazing for this game, there is just no other way to say it. A lot of the techniques in this game are just beautiful, and all of the monsters and sprites are certainly well done. The game overall has amazing graphics considering its age. Sound-10 This game has some of the best music on all of the Super Nintendo. It has some amazing tracks that are definitely long time classics, and I bought the DS version solely to listen to the audio during car rides. The music sounds great, and the amount of tracks in this game just make it a wonderful experience. Addictiveness-10 The game itself has twelve different endings, meaning that anyone who enjoyed the game will most likely play it multiple times over. Chrono trigger is very fun and creative, making it just an absolute gem, leaving it with a high replay value. Story-10 The story is incredibly simple at some points, and at others it really makes you think. It's a wonderful story with twists and turns, and it makes the game even more enjoyable, with the story on par with everything else that makes this game so great. Difficulty-6 Any RPG expert should have no difficulty beating this game, and casual gamers will experience some difficulty, for sure, but overall the game is relatively easier compared to other Square titles, making it a very balanced game. Overall, this game is simply amazing, and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes RPGS or video games in general to spend the time playing this, as it will always meet expectations. |
Pokemon Shiny Gold X Version 10-19-11 02:03 AM |
Great Game I love this game so much. It's addictive, it has interesting characters, and it's challenging! Three things imperative for a wonderful game! Even the first battle with Carlos(Cyndaquil is my favorite.) is an amazingly difficult fight, but I defeated him, so it's still possible. A type of game, that when you finally beat that last boss, you have a feeling of epicness whenever you defeat an epic, difficult masterpiece, like Final Fantasy. |
