sirhc1801's Last 10 Game Comments (view last 100) | Pokemon Dying Sun (beta) | Don't play this game, it's just a load of tiles in the wrong place; maybe it's a work in progress, but it'll be a waste of your time. | Pokemon Rocket Strike | My game completely freezes when I try to take Cut...Any ideas why? | Pokemon Dark Phantom | Yeah, it's definitely mandarin; not japanese. | Pokemon Fire Red | I was testing a theory! It's okay, I saved state beforehan | Pokemon Fire Red | Well...You can't explode Gary's last pokemon with your last pokemon, killing both of you. Makes you lose the elite four not win it, damn. | Pokemon Fire Red | I am:) | Pokemon Fire Red | And rock too, where bruno has onyx. It's just suggested for the best team that you never have more than one of a particular type:') | Pokemon Fire Red | Charizard, Gyarados and Dragonite are all flying types... | Pokemon Fire Red | Too many flying types... | Pokemon Fire Red | I'm doing every type individually. already done bug and dragon! |

Average Really Well, upon viewing this game originally; I must admit that I was intrigued as a 3rd gen remake is one we all wish for. The creator of this has clearly tried to do so here and all in all, the game was pretty nice. Graphics - I rated the graphics a 9/10 because clearly, the main point of this hack was to make the game much more aesthetically pleasing; taking it away from the typical third gen graphics. Throughout, the graphics have been improved and it is nicer to look at. These improvements are really the only things that have made a dramatic impact on the game. I will admit, however, that some of this is sloppy; with most buildings having no changes to them at all. This meant that in some key areas, there were no changes to the game. There were some tiles which you could walk on that you shouldn't and vice versa, which was a shame. Another minuscule issue I had was Magnezone's sprite on the party view, which went outside the area it should have done while moving. Sound - Not much to say; I believe there were no changes. Addictiveness - The issue here was that the game was essentially the same as the original which while primarily being gripping, I now find to be quite dull. I came to this website to find other games and I believe other users do to and may find this to be fairly boring. I only played the whole way through because of a couple of cave additions I'd seen earlier in the game and because I hope there would be some sort of added post story; which there isn't really. Story - Same as before, boy gets Pokemon. Boy beats gyms. Boy beats enemy team. Boy becomes champion. No changes to a... Read the rest of this Review |

Nice concept Well...firstly, this game is a hack of Pokemon Sapphire where the creator has edited a variety of things, such as tiles, pokemon locations, some gym leaders, inclusion of Aqua and Magma members as portable marts and a couple of other interesting ideas. Graphics - No different to Pokemon Sapphire, so no stand out features in this department. The idea of putting grass in each town was unique but generally didn't add any real value to the game. However, fortunately, I always liked the GBA graphics so 9/10 Sound - Alas, cannot hear on my PC so I'll presume its the same as normal so 9/10 Addictiveness - The game was too similar to the original, with some of the changes being quite irritating as it made it difficult to manoeuvre and find places. The inclusion of legendaries as starters was unnecessary and they all have powerful moves to begin with, so I actually placed mine in my box and effectively had Nidoran as my starter pokemon. I only completed it to see what new pokemon would be found per area, so I guess that aspect contributed to it. However it did enable you to get a much varied team, which I did actually enjoy with my unique team of Nidoking, Sneazel, Scisor, Gorebyss, Pidgeot and Aggron so 8/10. Story - No change to the original, which I found dull to begin with so 8/10. Depth - Not much to it, not every pokemon can be caught so I saw no point in continuing the game afterwards, again, no real difference from the original, but I do like being able to create a varied team and may consider making one completely different so just 8/10. Difficulty - Well... I beat the elite 4 with pokemon in their low 40s, with only one really core type of water. Never was challenged throughout the game due to the abundance of types in each area making the gyms pretty easy, so I'm giving this a 7/10. Overall - I'd recommend this game as something to just pass the time, I was bored for a lot of it so if you're looking for a challenge then go elsew... Read the rest of this Review |
