Super Mario Bros 3

Mario battles koopaling terrors!
Bowser has come back once again! Along with his Koopalings of tiny terror to thwart Mario's plans of saving the Mushroom Kingdom!

Mario is a gaming staple, he has been on almost every genre for Nintendo and has around 200 games under his belt. This game is one of his older staples, although not his first game or even really his third. It was the game that defined Mario and his style. The classic Italian plumber traverses more levels, traps and worlds to save the princess but this time, Bowser has brought his kids along.

Graphics:

For a original Nintendo game the graphics are very good; very little slow downs, almost no clipping or flashing. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the stages are littered with obstacles and other objects to make the world appear more real. 10/10

Sound:

The music is phenomenal and even to this day many know the sings by heart and can sing or play them. Each song fits where it is present. The sound affects however, although very good aren't as great as the music and thus brings the score down. 9/10

Addictiveness:

Even though the game isn't exactly open world it is still very addictive. The tried and true platformer genre still holds up today. 10/10

Story:

The story is where the game lacks the most, other then Bowser bringing his kids to help. It is just like all the other Mario games. 7/10

Depth:

Even though this game does not contain downloadable content, unlockables or achievements it still has plenty of depth for most gamers. Containing a variety of worlds, different paths and a score system you could come back and play it over and over. 8/10

Difficulty:

This might be a biased rating because for me the game isn't exactly easy but most Mario gamers wouldn't say it's hard, but from my own perspective it is pretty hard. 8/10

Grand Total Score: 8.6
WarioWare, Inc. - Minigame Mania

Wari
Warioware Inc. Minigame Mania is a delightful mishmash of mini games presented by Wario and his friends on the GBA. Each character specializations in different game types and challenges you to beat a set amount, the final game being a 'boss stage'. A longer game portion then normal, say a full shooter level for example.

Each character also has a mini story relating to how and why your playing the games.

For example, Mona a gelatio worker is being pulled over the cops and she decides to run for it. Her monkey is throwing banana peels to stop the cops. Each minigame completed right equals a peel hitting a cop wheel. Each minigame failed equals a banana missing a cop car.

In addition to the main part of the game, as you go along you unlock other special minigames you play. Either with a friend or alone.

All in all, not a bad game.

Some might be put off by the graphics or the lack of story, but it is pick up and play fun. 7.5/10

Super Punch-Out!!

When the bell rings, come out swinging!
Growing up I never got the chance to play this game, not because I didn't have the money for it. I got plenty of money for my B-day and other occasions. I didn't get to play it because back then I saw it and said "Sports game, not interested." It wouldn't be until many years later that I learned sports games could be more then stat watching and position making. (Looking at you Madden.) So I tried out 'fun' sports games such as Punch out, the Mario sports series and etc. Now I'm the kind of guy that isn't normally into sports but when there 'fun' I can enjoy them such is the case with Super Punch out. This game is very addictive for someone such as me, I love to find out the tactics to each boxer and I love how unique there personalities are such as the case with, bear hugger for example. A big burly lumberjack type that you can't hurt by hitting his stomach. In closing, this game is very appealing even to the non sports lovers such as myself.
