Pokemon Amnesia. Wait. What?
(Note: this review is what I would call an "ADHD Piece." My attention span was not very good when I attempted to type this. It may not flow very well.)
Pokemon Amnesia is a hack you won't easily forget. Unless, maybe, if you get amnesia (See what I did there? I'm too funny). You start out the same way as you would Fire Red. Except Professor Oak's sprite has been replaced with a mysterious Haunter, which you learn about later in the game.
In a seemingly-thorough plot, you wake up in bed with long red hair you didn't seem to have before. (I had a dream last night that my own red hair did the same thing. I didn't like it). You learn that a tiny piece of meteorite hit you in the head and you've been in a coma for five years, and you're now 17 years old. You go to tell Dr. Whats-his-name (It's the same sprite as Professor Oak) and he is shocked but tells you to leave for fresh air. You then walk outside and find two Pokemon, a Slowpoke and a Psyduck. Whichever you choose becomes your starter (I wish I would've chosen the Psyduck).
You then leave town without any purpose. You somehow reach a garden and battle a Gastly, which I guarantee you will be confused on how to defeat unless you have caught another Pokemon. Then after that I will guarantee you will not know where to go: there is a secret path. This game is somewhat different from official Pokemon games in that you will somehow manage to make your way through the game without any help, except for a few cases like this that are just plain confusing.
You learn more about yourself along the way from other people, apparently you are quite well known in this world, you even have a monument at the site you "died". You also learn other things that might be pretty insignificant or irrelevant as well.
After you get to the first gym, trust me, things get a lot better than the game seemed when you began. Sadly, the climax of the game (so far) seems to be around the point yo... Read the rest of this Review

Pokemon Platinum: Poke-Hack WIN
Pokemon Platinum is a very nice hack of the Third Generation Pokemon Series. Pokemon from the first four generations appear in Pokemon Platinum. It isn't very time consuming, and you get the chance to meet a legendary Pokemon before you even battle the third gym. The Gym Leaders are actually very challenging, but the other trainers are actually very easy. The grammar is extremely terrible, but you can expect this in most Pokemon hacks. However, Pokemon Platinum is a hack worth trying, it has a decent story and isn't time consuming.
