I've done something radical. I've demoted all of the moderators. Clean start. Rebuilding the team from the ground up. There have been too many complaints about the moderators over the years and it has resulted into a lot of members leaving, resulting into a massive drop in activity. It's time to let the community help choose who gets to have the power to be above them. Letting the Moderators choose who becomes a Moderator opens the doors for corruption and abuse of power.

I have 10 Local Moderator positions available. All you have to do is reply to the below thread with an application explaining why you think you deserve to be a Local Moderator and how you plan to make this a better place. Make it convincing and be honest, because the entire community will be involved with voting on who gets promoted.

2 Global Moderators will be chosen from the 10 Local Moderators. Voting for this will begin after the 10 Local Moderators have been promoted but this time those 10 Local Moderators will vote on who is most deserving of Global Mod. No one will be made an admin for the time being, I'll let time determine who is worthy of the admin position and at some point have an election for those 2 spots.

The Local Moderator applications will be available until December 5th and voting will last about a week (these times may change depending on participation). If you have any questions at all, let me know in this thread:

This mass demotion isn't targeting anyone, I just find it easier to revive Vizzed if I first start with reviving the staff (the team responsible for helping me make this happen) since a forum's success is often determined by the staff.

I'm giving you all an opportunity to make a Christmas theme for Vizzed which will be used for an entire week on the entire site!

Using the new Theme Creator feature, make the best possible Christmas theme that you can. Once this competition ends, users will all vote on what they think is the best Christmas theme and the theme that gets the most votes will be used as the default theme on the site during the '7 Days of Vizzed Christmas' which is from December 25th - 31st. In case of a tie breaker, the tied themes will split the time.

On Wednesday, 11/28/2018, from 4-8 PM (central time zone) we'll all be listening to and rating the songs from the Nintendo 3DS Music Competition. Shortly before each song finishes, I'll give users a link to where they can rate each song and the song submitters get points for any rating above a 3 (out of 5).

I will be hosting this event on my Twitch channel and I'll be giving away a total of $250 worth of Steam Games in the form of Vizzed Raffle Tickets which can be used to redeem Steam games and other digital games including eShop, Uplay and more. The Raffle Tickets can also be traded into the Vizzed Market for 10,000 Viz each.

The more songs you rate, the higher your chances are of winning a raffle after the stream is over. Each rating you make during the stream is basically another entry in the raffle. There will be over 1000 digital games that winners will be able to pick from. You can see a full list of redeemable games here:

The Theme Creator lets you create your very own theme. Once you've created the theme, you can apply the theme to either a page that you have admin powers over, or you can apply it to yourself which then gives many pages of the site that custom look. Not only can you create your own theme, but you can also choose from any of the user created themes.

This has been one of the more anticipated features that I promised users years ago. Even though it still has a long way to go, I'm excited to finally launch it . Keep in mind that it'll only affect pages of the site that have been migrated to the new site engine but I plan to get more pages migrated in the near future, especially ones that are commonly used such as the New Reply page, Private Messages, Announcements and Login/Register. Also keep in mind that you can collaborate on a theme with someone by making them an "Admin" of your theme's page which gives them access to making changes to the theme (to make someone an admin of a page that you're an admin of, click the 'Edit Page' link at the top left of the page).

Set a Theme as Your Default Theme
To set a theme as your default site theme, click the 'Settings' link at the top left of the page and then scroll down to the 'Theme' section and from there, insert the ID of the theme you want to use.

Set a Theme for a Page
To add a theme to a page, simply click the 'Edit Page' link at the top left of a page that you have admin powers over and there should be a theme section where you can insert the ID of the theme you want to use.

In many browsers, the donation page didn't work because the donation methods on the donation page required that it be on a secure site with an SSL certificate using HTTPS but I didn't have one set up at the time so that page has been down for quite a while. It's completely functional now though and can be access here:

Most of the games in the Retro Game Room that have had problems either recently or in the past year have been fixed. This mostly applies to any game that uses the RGR Plugin.

Here's a brief list of what was fixed:
-GBA and N64 (hadn't worked in about a week or more)
-Arcade and MESS systems (same issue as GBA & N64)
-Dreamcast (hasn't worked properly in almost 9 months)
-Saving, Loading and Screenshot taking (had been down 1+ weeks)
-Arcade Clones (the list of available clones for a game hasn't been available in almost 9 months)
-Game Page URLs (not sure for how long but some links to game pages from various sections of the site didn't work properly)
-Google Chrome (a recent Chrome update made it harder to get working, should be better now since it gives you something to click for enabling Flash on Vizzed)
-Lots of other little things

If there are other RGR related problems, let me know right away in the below thread and I'll try and get it fixed as soon as I can (assuming it's not a time consuming fix):

I purchased and setup an SSL Certificate for Vizzed.com and now the entire site automatically transfers you to it. This makes the site more secure but it also greatly improves the site's reputation online and therefore increases the search engine rank since search engines like Google reward a site's ranking if the site is using https.

I had to go through a lot of pages to make sure everything is pointing to the new URL since a lot of pages stopped working because of it. If a page has content (such as images) that aren't using https on a page that is using https, most browsers throw a security warning and some don't even let you view the page. If anyone notices a page on the site that is no longer working, let me know right away in the following thread:
