Selling Nintendo, Gameboy, N64 and SNES Box Protectors = Free Samples
I've been working with a company that makes clear plastic boxes and I've ordered a huge quantity of what I'm calling game box protectors. You put your boxed games in the box protectors and it keeps it safe. I'm currently selling them on amazon as you can see here so they're currently only available to USA users. I'm selling box protectors for Nintendo NES, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. The Game Boy box protectors also work for Virtual Boy. Important Announcement Regarding Old Screenshots
In a week from now, you'll no longer be able to retrieve screenshots that were taken more than a year ago. Screenshots that you've already submitted to a game page will be fine but you wont be able to edit their information anymore if they're over a year old.
This update is necessary so that users can no longer submit screenshots to the wrong game. A year ago I made an update to the way screenshots are handled and all screenshots after that update are being named correctly while the ones before that update were being named incorrectly which resulted into users being able to submit a screenshot to the wrong game but with the same name that the screenshot was taken from (so for example, if you took a screenshot of "Toy Story 2" for the Game Boy Color, the scr If you have any questions, let me know in this thread: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=68833 |

Site Maintenance Complete
The site migration and maintenance is complete. The site should now be working properly and running at top speed.
For those who don't know, the site has been in the process of a migration over the past few months and in the past few days, that process has been finalizing. This migration was a mandatory hostgator migration and I'm real glad it's finally done. This also means that the site wont be going down at 6 AM (central time) every day due to backups, it'll only go down once a week now at that same time for a single weekly backup. Pokemon Rom Hacking Competition = Deadline Extended by 3 Months
The Pokemon Rom Hacking competition deadline has been extended by 3 months. The deadline was originally October 16th, 2013 but the new deadline is January 21st, 2014. The reason for the extension is due to the lack of hacks submitted for the competition. With this extension, there's plenty of time to start making your own Pokemon hack and way more than enough time to finish any hacks you might have in progress for the competition.

Video Game Price Guide - Beta Test & Hiring Staff
This is a feature that some of you know about that I've been working on for a few weeks on and off. It's now ready for testing. To test it out, find a game in the Video Game Room that you own in real life and than click the 'Add to Collection' link right under the game's name. This will bring up a form, fill it out as accurately as you can for the most accurate price of what your game is worth. Once you've added a game to your collection, a link on your profile will appear that will allow you and others to see a list of all the games in your collection. You can view my collection here:

Benefits of adding your games to your collection list: -Helps you keep track of what you own -It'll give you the value of each game you own (doesn't include all systems or games yet) -It'll give you the total value of your entire collection -Allows you to show off your collection Future benefits: -If you -If you -Game Collector Card: Every user will have a generated card graphic which rates their collection and gives a few facts and statistics about it and users will be able to share that card by either placing it in their layout or placing it on another site (and when clicked, it takes the user to your game collection) -Plenty more that I'm not ready to share yet Other future features: -Will include game systems and accessories -I'll be adding more game to the VGR (not RGR) -Collection categorized by system -Collection filter to order your collection by price, date acquired, etc -A quick add game page which will allow you to add your collection quickly -A page showing the most valuable games and the newly listed ebay listings -A statistics page showing which users own the most games for which system and all systems -A printable price guide for each system -Charts showing if a game's value is going up or down and by how much -Charts also showing if your game collection is going up or down and by how much -Mobile app (more details on that later) -Plenty more that I'm not ready to share yet The prices are based on ebay listings and there are some ebay listings that don't get placed in the proper category or under the proper game. On any game page, if you click the 'Price Guide' link, you'll see all of the ebay listings that the price numbers are based on. Currently only staff can remove listings that don't belong to a certain game but every user has the ability to move a listing to the proper category (for example, if you see a game that's listed as 'New' but it's really 'Complete', you can move it). You get CP and Viz for helping categorize the listings but you do have a daily limit on how many listings you can categorize and the staff will monitor this stuff to make sure no one is intentionally moving listings to the wrong category. New Systems and Games Added to the RGR!
The PSX item and games are back to their original Viz prices and creating netplay sessions now requires the netplay item again, however, I've added 3 new systems to the site for a total of 195 games. Almost every game was added for the 3 new systems so they're almost complete libraries. Below are the newly added systems:
Virtual Boy: 28 Games added This was a cartridge system made by Nintendo that failed miserably in the mid 90s. The system mounted to your head in order for the games to appear 3D (all the games were in red). The games on vizzed don't support the stereoscopic 3D but the emulator has been modified to play the games in a clear 2D. Turbo Grafx CD: 102 Games added This was a CD addon system made by NEC for the Turbo Grafx, similar to the Sega CD addon for the Sega Genesis. Most of the games for this system were released in Japan but it did have some American releases. Since it's a CD system, the games are very large. This system does support netplay on vizzed. PC-FX: 65 Games Added This was a 32 bit CD system made by NEC that was only released in Japan. This system is incredibly rare and the only opportunity you'll probably ever have to play this system is by playing it on vizzed. The games have a lot of anime cut scenes as to why the games are very large. The 8 multi disc games for this system currently don't support disc swapping, this will be fixed in the future. This system also support netplay on vizzed. All of these systems are rare and it's safe to assume that most of you probably haven't heard of all of these systems and some of you probably haven't heard of any of these systems but that's what vizzed is all about, discovering games that would otherwise be forgotten and unheard of. It took me a quite a bit of time to find and add these games so if you want to help out, help add content to the newly added games such as screenshots, reviews or videos. Since 2 of the new CD system's games cost a lot of Viz and since the V-Machine and Laptop item doesn't cover CD systems, users are going to be in need of Viz so if you do any of the below offers for the new systems, I'll give you 15,000 Viz (which is enough for the Download Accelerator which will make these games download faster). -Take 10 unique screenshots for 5 different newly added games (total of 50 screenshots) for games that don't already have screenshots or -Take a total of 2 hours worth of videos for 2 or more games or -Write 1000+ words worth of reviews (example: 2 500 word reviews, 1 1000 word review, etc) Offer expires 10/20/2013 If you have any questions, comments or feedback, please ask in this thread: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=65705 |

Site Back to Normal + Rewards!
After battling with site issues for the past month or so, I think I've finally fixed the problem where the site would get really slow and constantly go down. I've spent countless hours working on the site to get back to the speed it use to be it wasn't soon enough because the site's traffic has dropped by around half which means the site revenue has dropped by half as well. Donations would be great to help me keep up with the site finances but what would help out the site even more is if you all told your friends about the site and advertised vizzed.com wherever you can, it'd be great to get some of that traffic back.
As a reward for everyone's patience during this time, all of the games are 50% off of their normal Viz prices and netplay is free until September 22nd (the games had been free during the time the site was slow but they didn't save to profiles since you weren't actually "buying" them when they were free). Another way I plan on saying thanks to everyone's loyalty is by releasing more games to the site in September. I'll release 3-5 new systems in the month of September. Name that Game: Nintendo NES Edition = Win $25
In this competition, you have to try and correctly name as many games as you can. Whoever names the most games correct once the competition ends, which will be August 30th 2013, will win US $25. If more than 1 user tie, than the money will be awarded to whoever posted their answers first.
