Pokemon Rom Hacking Competition = Vote Now!
Last summer I started a Pokemon Rom Hacking competition where users could win and earn money by creating hacks for Vizzed:

Buy, Sell and Trade Video Games on Vizzed - Update!
UPDATE: My list mostly complete now, it contains all of the games and systems that I own and all that I have for sale as well. It's missing some accessories which I'll get added in later. I've also extended the 20% off deadline to next Tuesday since that's when I'll be putting my stuff up for sale on Amazon and Ebay (I'll make a separate announcement when I do that).
Vizzed doesn't earn the income that it use to, the site has taken 2 revenue drops over the past few years which has left me with very little to no budget to expand the site in certain directions that I want to expand and it has also left me with no budget to get more plugin Selling Video Games As many of you know, I've got a huge game collection and I've been expanding it for years. I rarely buy games at full price so this allows me to expand faster and to make a small profit for the site when I resell doubles or games that I don't need to own. What this means is that I'm selling real physical games for real physical money if anyone is interested in buying any of the games that I'm selling. I currently have 500+ games for sale for systems including DS, GB, GBC, GBA, GC, GG, N64, NES, PS2, PSX, SNES, Wii, X360, XB and more. I still have a few more games to add to my for sale collection and I still have to add systems and accessories so hopefully my collection will be up to date by Wednesday. VGR Updates: Systems & Hardware Added, More Games & Content, More Features, etc
I've spent the past few days adding a bunch of awesome features to the Video Game Room.
Systems, Controllers & Accessories Added The Video Game Room now includes Systems, Controllers and Accessories. A lot of them currently have no price data and most of them have no images but that'll change in the near future. There's also a lot of hardware missing so if you notice something that needs to be added, contact the RGR Staff. The pages for video game hardware will basically be the same as a game page except with a few features missing. You'll be able to see prices, a rarity score, ebay listings and you'll be able to add them to your Game Collection and Wishlist. You'll also be able to review them, make comments on them, make threads about them and submit content to them. To me personally, this is an awesome The following search will display just hardware in the Video Game Room: https://www.vizzed.com/videogames/index.php?noRetail=true&noDigital=true Video Game Room Filters and Additional Details You can now have the VGR search filter your results. You can have it so that it doesn't return Digital Games, Retail Games and/or Hardware. You can also have it show just Hardware, to do this you'll want to first click 'X Digital Games' and than on the new page you'll want to than click 'X Retail Games' and than you'll be seeing Systems, Controllers and Accessories only. The search results of the VGR will show whether a listing is a Game or a Hardware. If it's a game, it'll also let you know what type of game it is (for example, Arcade Game, Indie Game, eShop Game, PSN Game, etc). The staff have also been working hard to get the latest games added. I've also added few systems lately, which include CD-i, N-Gage, Odyssey 2, Neo Geo CD and a few others. For users like myself who have a lot of games in their collection, having them all displayed by default made it hard to navigate the page, with this The Game Collection displays any accessories, controllers or systems that you add to your collection. The listings for each system will be separated based on what it is and all hardware will have an initial next to it specifying what it is. Donate your Games to Vizzed = Earn Viz for Special Features
My quest continues to obtaining physical copies of games for the Retro Game Room. I have a lot already but still a ton to go. Systems you could donate games for include Super Nintendo, Nintendo, any of the Game Boys, Nintendo 64, Genesis, Playstation, Nintendo DS, etc (basically anything).
Here's a few examples of items that you might want to earn Viz for: 15,000 Viz = Game Accelerator - Makes games download faster (for most people) 25,000 Viz = V-Machine item - Allows you to play any game without paying Viz (doesn't include cd games) 50,000 Viz = Playstation item - Allows you to play 380+ different Playstation games Any game that is donated that I already own (or isn't retro) will be sold and all the money made from sold games will go toward expanding Vizzed. It costs a lot of money to keep this site up and I know a lot of users want to help out but don't have money to donate so this is a great opportunity, especially since a lot of you probably have games lying around that you don't plan to play anymore and may even need to make room for new games. Winter 2014 Netplay Tournament: NES Remix = Sign up Now!
This is an "Official" Vizzed tournament. As some of you know, I plan to hold 4 a year.
Unlike the last Vizzed Tournament (which will be headed to the final round next week), this tournament will be all elimination rounds, well double elimination to be exact. In other words, lose 2 games and you're out of the tournament. Everyone starts out in the "winners" bracket and if you lose, you go on to the "losers" bracket and if you lose in the losers bracket, you're out of the tournament. At the very end, the winner of the winners bracket and the winner of the losers bracket play each other but the winner of the losers bracket has to beat the winner of the winners bracket twice (this makes it fair to the user who went undefeated for going undefeated). Since this is a double elimination tournament, there is no way for me to know how long it'll last since the amount of people who sign up determines how long it'll last but if I were to take a guess, I'd say around 6 weeks. I will allow any number of users to join but we will need an even number. Bye weeks may be handed out to users who do very well if needed in order to balance out the structuring of the brackets. We'll be playing most of the multiplayer games that are on the Wii-U's latest game called 'NES Remix', which includes: Balloon Fight, Baseball, Clu Clu Land, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Donkey Kong 3, Golf, Ice Climber, Mario Bros., Pinball, Tennis, Urban Champion, and Wrecking Crew. The players of each matchup will get to choose which game they want to pick and each matchup will involve you playing at least 2 games with each user picking one of them and if one user wins both games, they are declared winner of that matchup but if each player wins 1 game each, players both pick 1 more game each and do the process over again and this cycle repeats until one of the user wins both selected games. Requirements: -You must live in the United States (unless you have had very little lag problems playing netplay with USA users) -The RGR Plugin must work fine on your computer -If you're on the ban list, you cannot enter. Vizzed.com Live Streams on Twitch + Earn 10,000 Viz & PSX Item
Vizzed.com is looking for users who are willing to play games in the Retro Game Room and live stream themselves doing so. If you're not familiar with live streaming but are interested, sign up to http://www.twitch.tv/ and you can find out how to live stream and they'll also provide you the tools to live stream on their site.
You can stream yourself playing any game, do what you're interested in doing or what you think will get you viewers. You can stream yourself playing through a game, you can stream yourself playing Christmas games, you can stream yourself trying out rom hacks, you can stream yourself playing netplay games with others, etc. I'll pay you 10,000 Viz a month if you do at least 10 hours worth of streaming games in the Retro Game Room. It'll be your responsibility to contact me once a month letting me know that you did the 10+ hours. Supported netplay systems include: -Nintendo NES -Turbo Grafx -Super Nintendo -Sega Genesis -Nintendo 64 -Sega Master System -and PC-FX, SuperGrafx and Turbo Grafx CD You can create netplay sessions if you have the Netplay Item (which can be purchased from the Item Shop for 10,000 Viz (I just dropped the price from 25,000 Viz). Once you have the item, you can go to a game's page, scroll half way down to the netplay area and create a session. This year we've seen the site slowly start to migrate in different directions. We've seen the Video Game Room start to take off, I've introduced you all to some new features such as the Price Guide/Game Collection and the Contribution Point system and I've been putting some more focus on the forum itself as well. The Retro Game Room is of course still expanding as well with 7 systems added in the past year and well over 1000 new games added and plenty of new features to go along with them. Video Game Wish Lists + Win a Free Game!

I've added a new feature to the site: Wishlist. This is a Video Game Room exclusive feature and it allows you to add games to your own Wishlist. How to use it: Go to the Video Game Room (link can be found at the top left of every page) and find a game. From the game's page, toward the top of the page right below the game's title you'll see a link that says 'Add to Wishlist'; click that and simply fill out the form. Your profile will than keep track of every game you would like to one day own and you'll be able to see the wishlists of other users as well (the link to a user's wishlist can be found at the top right of their profile). Benefits of this feature: -Helps you keep track of all the games you'd like to own someday -If someone has a game in their Game Collection for sale that you add to your Wishlist, it'll notify that user that you want to own a game that they want to sell -Likewise, if you add a game to your Wishlist and someone adds that same game to their Game Collection and also marks it as for sale, you'll be notified -This feature can also help users find users to trade and borrow games with If you want to see an example of what a Wishlist looks like, you can see mine here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/profile.php?id=1&profile=wishlist Win a Game that you've added to your Wishlist! As a way to promote this feature and the Game Collection feature (and as a way to do something fun for Christmas), I'm giving away $100 worth of games as Christmas presents. So basically I will pick a random user who has added at least 1 game to their Wishlist and pick a random game from their list and buy them that game and send it to them as a Christmas gift (and they'll receive it before Christmas). Rules: 1. You must have at least 1 game on your Wishlist. The more games you add, the better your chances are of winning but anything past 16 games wont increase your chances (but you're still encouraged to add more than 16 games if you have more than 16 games that you want). 2. Add every game that you physically own to your Game Collection. The more games you have in your game collection the better your chances are of winning but anything past 64 games wont increase your chances (but you're still encouraged to add more than 64 games if you really own more than 64 games).
