On Tuesday, September 30th, I'll be hosting a live streaming event on my Twitch Channel where we'll all be listening to the songs submitted to this month's SNES Video Game Music Competition. The stream will start at 5 PM and end at around 8 PM (central time). This is a great opportunity to hang out with vizzed members, listen to some gaming music and earn some Viz while doing it; it should be fun.

Everyone is welcome to join the stream and you can earn 100 Viz for each song that you rate. After each song that is played, I'll ask everyone what they thought of it and all you have to do is rate on a scale of 1-3. If you can only participate during a small portion of the stream, that is fine, stick around and rate as many songs that you have time for. If you stick around long enough to rate all 127 songs, you'll get a bonus of 2,300 Viz which would put your total earnings at 15,000 Viz.

To qualify, all you need to do is be a member of Vizzed, be a member of Twitch, and follow my Twitch Channel which can be found here:

The 15 minute video limit that was placed on the Vizzed YouTube account 6 months ago has been removed. This means that you can now upload videos of almost any size to the YouTube account. All videos that were uploaded in the past 6 months that were larger than 15 minutes were automatically deactivated by Google but now that we no longer have a restriction, I was able to reactivate those videos.

Next month I'll be hosting an RGR competition with a cash prize for those who are willing to record large videos and upload them to the Vizzed YouTube account. If you do plan to participate in that, be sure to wait until October 1st to upload your large videos since only videos uploaded after October 1st will count for that competition.

The 15 minute restriction was placed on the account 6 months ago when a Japanese company filed a copyright claim on one of the commercials on the Vizzed YouTube account. Since then, I removed all of the commercials from the main Vizzed YouTube account (that account is now dedicated to just gameplay videos) and moved them to a new YouTube account titled Vizzed Video Game Commercials

I've also made a few small updates to the video uploader page. You can now insert keywords to the video that you're uploading and it'll automatically insert useful keywords by default which means that if you forget to add additional keywords, it'll still receive keywords. If the video is of a rom hack, that is mentioned in the title and related keywords will be added. A few other small updates have been made to the page as well.

Updates for Vizzed RGR Streamers

The Video Game Streamers page on Vizzed has been updated:

It previously only supported Twitch.tv but it now also supported Hitbox.tv. The CP and Viz payout for streaming has been updated and is now based on your Vizzed Partnership. You can now earn 0.05, 0.1, or 0.15 CP (rounded) and 10, 20 or 30 Viz for every minute you stream.

Another big update to the page is that it'll now remove you from the page if you go more than 30 days without streaming a game in the Retro Game Room. Also, in the Retro Game Room, it'll only list you as active streamer if you're playing a game in the RGR. Eventually I might make it only show RGR streamers by default (but there would be a setting to allow you to view all streamers).

I plan to drive more traffic to this page which will increase the amount of viewers the vizzed streamers get. The idea is that if you help out vizzed with your stream, vizzed will help out your stream. In the future I'll also offer incentives for users to visit that page (all someone has to do is view that page and they'll count as a viewer on your stream).

Fall 2014 Netplay Tournament: Tecmo Super Bowl 2015 = Sign up Now!

This is an "Official" Vizzed tournament. As some of you know, I host a Tecmo Super Bowl tournament every fall which contains a current NFL roster. Unlike the last Vizzed Tournament (which will be headed to the final round in a few weeks), this tournament will not involve teams.

This tournament will last for 20 weeks. The first 4 games will determine who advances into the regular games (I use this to weed out those who don't participate). The next 12 games are regular games and will be used to determine who goes to the elimination rounds. The last 4 games are the elimination rounds and the last round of course is the final game. The idea is to have this tournament last as long as the NFL season, so it'll begin at around the same time and end at around the same time. Tecmo Super Bowl tournaments are held every year and they last longer than any other tournament that I host.

We'll be playing a 2014-2015 roster update of Tecmo Super Bowl. The hack hasn't been added to the site yet since it's still being worked on but it'll be ready before the tournament begins next week.

Requirements:
-You must live in the United States (unless you have had very little lag problems playing netplay with USA users)
-The RGR Plugin must work fine on your computer, especially for Nintendo NES games

Vizzed Minecraft Accounts for Auction

Every Friday for the next 4-6 weeks I'll be auctioning off 4 Minecraft accounts for rent. What I mean by "rent" is that you get to use the account for 1 year but you cannot change the skin that the account comes with (reasons below). If you want to renew the account, the price to renew the account for each additional year is 25% of the Viz price that you paid for the account. These are full accounts that you have full access to and you can do just about anything with them (except change the skin as mentioned already).

These accounts serve 3 purposes:
1. The skins of the accounts will be used for the NPC's on the Pokemon Kanto Region world
2. To get more users on the Vizzed Minecraft Server
3. To give users another reason to earn Viz

The reason that you cannot change the skin of the account is because the NPC addon that we use on the minecraft server lets you create NPCs but you can only use skins of actual minecraft accounts. I want to make NPCs in the Pokemon Kanto Region on the Vizzed Minecraft Server similar to the NPCs from Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green.

These skins take a while to make and it also takes me a while to come up with the budget to buy these accounts (they cost me around US $27 each), this is why I'm only selling 4 per a week. The intent with these skins is for them to resemble their sprite from Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green as closely as possible.

For those who don't know, Vizzed has a Minecraft Server that has been used by more than 500 users since it launched 6+ months ago. If you win one of these accounts and join the Vizzed Minecraft Server, you can use a nickname different from the name of the minecraft account. My quest continues to obtaining physical copies of games in the Retro Game Room. I have a lot already but still a ton to go. Systems you could donate games for include SNES, NES, GBA/GB/GBC, N64, Genesis, TG, PSX, etc (basically anything, even modern, but preferably retro games). I'll pay you 1000s of Viz for sending me your games.

Here's a few examples of items that you might want to earn Viz for:
10,000 Viz = Netplay item - Allows you to create netplay sessions without paying Viz
25,000 Viz = V-Machine item - Allows you to play any game without paying Viz (doesn't include cd games)

5 New Systems Now Available to Everyone

The following 5 systems have been fully tested and are no longer available to just beta testers, they are now available to everyone:

-Sony PocketStation (75% of the games work)
-Magnavox Odyssey 2 (most of the games work)
-Sega Pico

The following 2 systems are still only available to Beta Testers but should be available to everyone within the next few months (CDi possibly next month):

New Systems & Games Added to the Retro Game Room + Other Updates!

Here's a nice batch of updates.

New Games and Systems
Over the past few weeks, 7 retro game systems have been added to the Retro Game Room which has increased the RGR library by around 1,336 games. The added new systems include:
-Sega Saturn (75% of the games work)
-Phillips CD-i (only around 25% of the games work)
-Atari Jaguar (only around 10% of the games work)
-Pokemon Mini (most of the games work)
-Sony PocketStation (75% of the games work)
-Magnavox Odyssey 2 (most of the games work)
-Sega Pico

Since all of these games still need to be tested and configured, they are currently only available to Beta Testers of the site. To become a Beta Tester, you need to buy the "Beta Test Ticket" for 10,000 Viz here:

Each system will become available to everyone once the staff has finished testing and configuring the games of each system. The CD systems and the systems with a lot of games will take longer to test.

Some of the games for these systems may not work and some may not function properly. Some of these can be fixed once the staff get to them while others may never be playable. Also, I'm still working on adding more games to these systems.

New Item Shop Item: V-Machine CD
As some of you know, the V-Machine item lets you play all games for free once you've paid the Viz for it but it doesn't let you play CD games for free (due to their disk space and bandwidth). Want a chance at winning US $100? All you have to do is find a teammate, sign up to this competition and defeat madison and I at Bomberman '94 and you and your partner will split the $100. This entire event will be streamed live on my my Twitch Channel

Date and Time
July 9th (Wednesday) from 6 PM - 8 PM central time.

Payment
I can pay you you by PayPal, I can buy something online for you, or I can buy you a gift card such as an Amazon Gift Card. If no one can beat us within the 2 hours, madison gets $50.

Rules
-Limit of 1 attempt per a user (unless we run out of challengers)
-No cheating of any kind
-Do not use inappropriate language, the netplay chat room will be displayed in the stream
-You can challenge us by yourself but it's a long shot if you don't have a teammate

Game Rules
We'll be playing Bomberman '94 which can be found here:

We'll be doing 2 vs 2, first team to 5 trophies on the default stage.

3. Follow my Twitch Channel and watch this stream when it goes live until you and your teammate have been called to challenge us (which will most likely be done in the chat room of my channel). My Twitch Channel can be found here:

4. The RGR Plugin is a required download in order to play games on this site so you'll need to make sure to download and install it if you haven't already. You can download it here:
